Iced Matcha Latte is a drinks recipe on Avoteb. The yield on the card is 1. Plan on 5 minutes from start to plate. The amounts and the method are both on this page.
Ingredients
Yield: 1 servings
- 2 teaspoons ceremonial-grade matcha
- 1 teaspoon sugar, honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 2 tablespoons hot water (175°F)
- 3/4 cup plain milk (I use oat milk)
- ice
Method
Dissolve the matcha. Tip in the matcha and sweetener (if using) to a small bowl or measuring cup (preferably one with a spout) and pour the hot water over it. Take a bamboo whisk to whisk the matcha into the water for about 20-30 seconds, repeating the shape of a “W”, until the powder is completely dissolved and the mixture is slightly foamy.
Mix Tip the milk into a serving glass and top with lots of ice. Tip the matcha mixture over the milk, and use a straw or long spoon to gently stir the mixture to combined.
Plate Plate while it is hot while nice and cold and enjoy!
