Pink Latte (Hot or Iced) at home is a drinks recipe on Avoteb. The yield on the card is 1. Plan on 10 minutes from start to plate. The amounts and the method are both on this page.
Ingredients
Yield: 1 servings
- 1/3 cup beetroot powder
- 4 teaspoons ground cardamom
- 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 4 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 1/2 cups plain milk (I used oat milk)
- 1 tablespoon pink latte mix
- 1 to 2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey, to sweeten
- ice (if making an iced latte)
Method
Stir Mix all ingredients in a jar. Lid and shake until evenly combined.
Steam the milk until warm and frothy using a frother. Or heat the milk in a saucepan over a medium burner until nearly simmering, and whisk briefly until frothy.
Stir until combined. Tip in 1 tablespoon of the dry pink latte mix plus 1 teaspoon maple syrup to a heatproof mug. Tip the steamed milk (minus the foam) into the mug and stir until combined. Tip in the foam on top and give it a brief stir.
Tip in extra sweetener if needed. Give the latte a taste and add extra sweetener, if needed.
Plate while it is hot and enjoy!
Dissolve the pink latte mix. Warm 1/3 cup of the oat milk (or alternately you can just use hot water) until nearly simmering. In a heatproof glass or measuring cup, whisk together the hot milk, 1 tablespoon of the dry latte mix and 1 teaspoon maple syrup until combined.
Stir until combined. Fill a large glass with ice. Tip in the warm latte mixture. Then pour in the remaining cold milk, and stir briefly with a straw until combined.
Tip in extra sweetener if needed. Give the iced latte a taste and add extra sweetener, if needed.
Plate while it is hot and enjoy!
