Homemade Matcha Latte is a gluten-free recipe on Avoteb. The yield on the card is 1. Plan on 5 minutes from start to plate. The amounts and the method are both on this page.
Ingredients
Yield: 1 servings
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ceremonial-grade matcha
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 2 tablespoons hot water (175°F, not boiling)
- 3/4 cup plain milk, steamed (I use oat milk)
Method
Dissolve the matcha. Take a fine-mesh strainer to sift the matcha into a heatproof measuring cup or small bowl (preferably one with a spout). Tip in the sugar and pour the hot water over mixture. Take a bamboo whisk to vigorously whisk the mixture in the shape of a "W" for about 30-45 seconds until no clumps remain and the mixture is slightly foamy.
Mix Tip the matcha mixture into a mug, then top with the steamed milk.
Plate Plate while it is hot and enjoy!
